Death of a Dream

Sometimes Dreams die, there’s no avoiding it. There comes a point when you have to admit that you probably won’t be a New York Yankee or the next Al Pacino, When you have to accept that the Pulitzer Prize is out of your reach and that the Nobel might not be coming along either. These moments can be painful, they can be heart-rending and gut-wrenching- no one wants to admit that they missed the boat on their goals or never really had the aptitude to reach them in the first place.

Yet it is only when we can truly look at ourselves objectively that we can being to focus on Dreams that are within our reach, on Dreams that we can do. It is a sad fact that many people get so bogged down in what they have failed to do that they have no more energy left to accomplish what they can.
