No Regrets

graffiti2 by Becca Raynes

No one is happy when they realize that they’ve made a mistake or that they’ve missed out. No one, to put it simply, likes regret. It gnaws at you, it laughs at you, it chides you and berates you. How can it be avoided, though? Whom among us can say that they look back at their lives and never wonder, “What if..” or “If only…?”

Regret and all that comes with it is a fact of life, it is unavoidable. What we can do is optimize our Decision making process so that we have less missed opportunities and, therefore, less regret.

How do we do this? We think, we study, we consider- we weigh all the options and available information and choose based on the facts; not on wishing or hopefulness. And when it’s too close to call, when regret seems something you have to be resigned to in the future? Close your eyes, trust your instincts and realize that no one lives life with no regrets.

Very true. You’ve got to attempt to make the best possible decision. If that doesn’t work, you’ve still got to do something.

You got to step up to the plate and play the game. Whether you win or lose. No Regrets. You gave it your best!!!

  3. Many thanks to your insight on this topic. It’s been tough to get materials it appears.
