On the Road
April 29thEver packed for a long car ride? A college road-trip or four state journey to Grandma’s, doesn’t matter which. You have? Good. Our Dreams are a lot like destinations, though not in space but in time. Just as it’s one thing to say “I’ll be there in two weeks” and another to get there, so to is it a different matter to say you will accomplish a goal as it is to accomplish it.
I wanted to know about your packing for a simple reason: anyone who has packed for a long trip that covers a myriad of unknown factors knows that it’s not the same as packing for a week or two at someone’s house. A road-trip requires all manner of “just in case” multi-purpose items. When one plans to hit the open road he needs to be ready for anything. So too does the dreamer, as he sets out on the road of a life to achieve his goal, need to pack his mental suitcase with a variety of things, some of which he may never need.
Just make sure not to forget to watch the scenery on the way, sometimes it’s the best part.
