Making a Decision is not simply a choice of yes or no. Whether it’s the way a certain dress looks or the color of a new hat, there are countless factors we take into account as we choose. How the item looks, what others will think of it, when we can best wear it, what our partner/parent thinks; all these things go on in the background of our minds while we dither about our new possible purchase.
And we all know those moments; that sad or silly or tragic event when one of the factors seems to have betrayed you. When the sleeves are suddenly too long or you feel overdressed or a loved one tells you you look odd.
The only solace we can find is in the fact that we know we weighed the options to the best of our ability and knowledge at the time, and move on. It may seem mundane or pedestrain, but even a small decision has countless factors and that’s something we should keep in mind, especially when making the big ones.
