eGO has reviewed all of the hotels listed below and found them to meet our standards. We've included a range from high end to budget, and tried to select the leaders in each category. Fort Lauderdale has a wide range of lodgings. Many of the best deals are small independent motels in the blocks behind A1A. (Since the highway is next to the beach, there are no hotels directly on the oceanfront in the strip area.) Often run by Europeans, we found them to be exceptionally clean.

Marriott's Harbor Beach- Luxury hotel located on 16 secluded acres beachside. The resort has an 8000 sq. ft. free form pool with a 12 ft. cascading waterfall. All rooms which feature climate control, cable TV, voice mail, hair dryer, bar, safe, coffee service, iron/board and in-room movies. Other features of the hotel include a fitness center, tennis courts, all sand and water sports as well as biking and scuba diving, restaurant, lounges, recreation center for kids, concierge, tour desk.
Holiday Inn Ft. Lauderdale- Oceanfront hotel located 5 miles from the airport. All rooms feature individual climate control, iron/ironing board, color cable TV and phone. The hotel offers wheelchair access, room service, coffee shop, lounge, grill and bar, giftshop and outdoor pool.
Best Western Marina- The Best Western Marina is a moderate first-class, contemporary low-rise motor inn and marina located at cruise ship harbor of Port Everglades in Ft. Lauderdale. All rooms feature climate control, phone, cable TV and safe. Hotel offers restaurant, coffee shop, patio bar, outdoor heated pool and whirlpool.
Holiday Inn Lauderdale by the Sea- Located on a private beach in Greater Ft.Lauderdale. All guest-rooms feature color cable TV, individual climate control, iron/ironing board, phone and refrigerator. The hotel offers room service, guest laundry services, gift shop, heated outdoor pool, lounge and bar, ocean fishing pier and outdoor activities.
