Lake Lanier Islands - This is the place to unwind, fish, and just be. If you decide to spend a day or two there are plenty of amenities including: hotel, restaurant, beach, bicycle and boat, rental, skiing, horse riding, golf and sailing.

Piedmont Park - An excellent place to picnic, jog, and bicycle right in the city. This park was actually a Civil War camp. You can see the Atlanta Botanical Gardens while you are here.
