Rules and Information specific to Ocean City and the beach.

There are 150 some blocks of oceanfront in Ocean City, and that is the primary attraction. Starting at the southern most point of the peninsula is a group of interest points including Trimpers Amusement Park, the Ocean City Fishing Pier, the Life-Saving Museum and the Boardwalk.

The Boardwalk runs from S. 2nd Street to 27th Street. Within these 30 blocks are 2.9 miles of seemingly hundreds of souvenir and novelty shops, restaurants, and hotels. During the summer the Boardwalk is packed with people shopping, walking, and biking the oceanfront. During the busy summer months, biking and inline skating are limited to the morning hours.

Off the beach there are numerous manufactured forms of entertainment, including miniature golf courses, go cart tracks, and water attractions. Ocean City is also becoming a golfing destination, currently with 10 area courses and more on the way.

For the adventurous and ecologically inclined, Assateague Island, just south of Ocean City is a barrier island that was set aside as a national seashore. Numerous species of birds and animals live on the island, including the Assateague Ponies. Also available are water activities, camping, hiking trails, bike paths and 4-wheel drive areas.

Shopping opportunities are primarily on the boardwalk and the new Ocean City Factory Outlets located off Route 50 in West Ocean City. Rehoboth also has a large collection of outlet stores.

Dining is a big part of the evening in Ocean City. In the Restaurant Section are some of Ocean City's favorites, recommended by residents.
