Ocean City's primary draw is the beach and related activities. There are few museums or historic attractions in the area. For more activities see the Things To Do section.
Shipwreck Museum- A continually expanding exhibit including gold coins, jewelry and pottery from wrecks, weapons found on the Delmarva shore and lighthouse display. 708 Ocean Hwy. Fenwick Island, DE. 302-539-9366.
Ocean City Life Saving Station Museum- The museum itself served both the U.S. Life-Saving Service and the Coast Guard and is the oldest structure in town. A history of the town is presented from the beginnings in the late 1800's to present.
Assateague Island- A barrier island that consist of three major public areas including Assateague Island National Seashore, Chincoteague National Wildlife refuge, and Assateague State Park. Many activities are available including surf fishing, canoeing & boating, Hiking, biking, shell collecting, clamming and crabbing, birding, camping, and life guarded beaches.
Wheels of Yesterday- Over 30 exhibits including "Jack Benny's" 1928 passenger touring car, an 1830 mail wagon, and a fire engine. 410-213-7329.
