A visit to Cape Hatteras will give you a vacation you will remember.

and heard of its rich history and salt sea legends. It's beautiful
sandy beaches are ideal for sun bathing, fishing, wind surfing,
shell and driftwood hunting. The island's simplicity and unusual
geographic location provide relaxation and many hours of just looking
how nature has outdone herself. we hope you will decide to visit
our island and that you, too, will find it most enjoyable.
- Dress is informal.
- Normally, water temperature is fine for swimming mid-May through September.
- There are several good restaurants and drive-ins, service stations, grocery stores, tackle shops, gift shops, etc. located within one mile of the motel.
- The famous Cape Hatteras Lighthouse is located about one mile from the motel on the National Seashore adjacent to the motel. Walking to it takes about 20 minutes.
- The National Park Service offers many programs, including beach walks, slide shows, and arts and crafts during the summer months.
- We suggest you bring plenty of sun tanning oils, beach towels, fishing poles and good books
