North Myrtle Beach


Barefoot Landing US 17 N, 843-272-8349. Collection of over a hundred shops, restaurants and entertainments that hosts more than 7 million visitors a year. Built around a lake next to the Intracoastal Waterway, the complex is one of the state's top tourism attractions.

Calmarlow Crafts- Located in Barefoot Landing. One of the nation's top 100 craft shops featuring fine handmade crafts from over 200 artists.

Galleria US 17 and Lake Arrowhead Rd. (Restaurant Row). A strip of stores that include bakery, food, and print shops.

Myrtle Beach


Broadway at the Beach- More than just shopping, Broadway at the Beach could go in almost any category, because it has something of everything. It's garnered a number of awards such as "America's Best New Attraction" and "South Carolina's Most Outstanding Tourism Attraction", and the people are flocking there. An attraction in the most modern sense of the word, there's abundant boutique-like shopping, big name restaurants like the Hard Rock, theaters, and nightlife. It occupies a central portion of Myrtle Beach, next to the 17 Bypass between 21st and 29th Avenues North.

Myrtle Beach Factory Stores- 5635 Hwy 501, 3 miles west of the Intracoastal Waterway, 843-236-5100. Over 50 outlet stores. Mon.-Sat. 9-9 PM and Sun. 11-6 PM.

Myrtle Square Mall- 2501 N. Kings Hwy, 843-448-2513. Sears, Peebles, and Belks and all the other stores.

Briarcliffe Mall- US 17 N (North of Restaurant Row), 843-272-4040. Indoor mall that includes Belk, Kmart, JC Penny, The Limited, Structure, and other mall type stores.

Hidden Village Shops- 9904 US 17 N (Restaurant Row) Specialty shops such as cookware gifts.

The Outlet at Waccamaw- US 501 (west of the Intracoastal Waterway) 843-236-1400. 125 factory stores located in three enclosed malls. Stores include Eddie Bauer, Duck Head Factory Outlet, American Eagle Outfitters, Belk Outlet, J.Crew, and lots more.

Rainbow Harbor- Kings Hwy at 49th Ave. N. 843-449-7476. Includes a shop that specializes in antique prints and engravings. Other shops in the complex carry big name fashions for men and women.

Pink House Square- 4301 N. Kings Hwy. 843-626-3100. A small group of 7 shops. Include lots of Christmas merchandise and handmade jewelry, candles, and Native American crafts.

South Strand


Prince George Framing Company- 817 Front St., Georgetown. 843-527-8413. Custom framing, hundreds of prints, original art, gift ideas.

George Pawley Company- 264 HWY 17N. Pawleys Island. Fine outdoor furnishings, decorative accessories and practical pieces for the serious birder or gardener. 843-237-4886.

Helen's Hallmark- 833 Front St. Georgetown. 843-546-5906. Gold Crown Store. Full line of gifts, collectibles and cards.

Inlet Square Mall- US 17 Bus. and US 17 Bypass, Murrells Inlet. 843-651-5500. Belk, Kmart, JC Penny, and all the other stores that malls typically have.

The Hammock Shops- US 17, Pawleys Island. 843-237-8448. A cluster of about 24 shops that grew up around the original Pawleys Island Hammock Shop. The stores hold a variety of work from craftsmen and artists including a candle shop, nature stores, gourmet food store, jewelry store, the original hammock store, and several others.

Whitmire's Jewelry- The Hammock Shops. Pawleys Island. 800-732-6419. Fine custom jewelry for over 20 years.

The General Store- The Hammock Shops. Pawleys Island. 843-237-8653. Large selection of gifts, collectibles, and garden accessories at this Hammock Shops mainstay.

Three Feathers- Hammock Shops. Pawleys Island. 843-237-7709.Waccamaw Neck's premier Southwestern Gallery, an outstanding collection of traditional and contemporary Native American and Southwestern jewelry, art and collectibles.

Hudson's Flea Market- US 17 Business, Surfside Beach. 843-238-0372. The typical flea market. Open year-round Hours change for seasons so call ahead.

The Island Shops- US 17 Pawleys Island (across street from the Hammock Shops). A few shops where you may find things such as designer swimwear, dried flowers and herbs, cookware, handicrafts and gifts.

Shops At Oak Lea- US 17 Pawleys Island. A collection of shops which feature jewelry, china, footwear, clothing, and home furnishings.
