The oceanfront is the primary focus of activity in Virginia Beach. Even during the winter people will be out walking, running, roller blading, and bicycling the boardwalk most all day long. During the summer, there are more people, doing the same things, and they're wearing less. Virginia Beach also has a handful of popular parks that offer a full range of hiking, biking and some water related activities. The moderate climate means outdoor activities are possible almost year round.
